Housing October 2026

35 of New York's 59 community districts must at least double their homebuilding to hit the 2030 targets

The City's first Fair Housing Growth Strategy (October 2026) puts New York's housing need at 700,000 homes by 2035 and gives each of the 59 community districts a target for 2030. These charts compare those targets with what each district built in the last five years, and size the NYCHA repair bill the plan leaves out.
