Source: NYC Parks, Asset Management Parks System: Labor (xzj8-i3jk) and Work Orders (8sdw-8vja); NYC Parks, Asset Management Parks System: Transaction Details (ub9z-gccp), NYC Open Data Note: Work orders logged per year tripled from 2016 to 2017, so part of the jump reflects wider use of the system. 2026 runs through early October. Labor at base wage only.

How restroom buildings were identified: 696 buildings in Parks’ asset system whose description names a public restroom, comfort station or bathroom. Data pulled: October 16, 2026, from the NYC Open Data API. Construction totals by project: the NYC Parks Capital Project Tracker lists 23 completed single-site new restroom buildings with a median total of $3.865M.
